Self-Directed - An individual's likelihood to feel in control, rarely feeling powerless over their life's direction

Vigilance - An individual's consideration of consequences and avoidance of impulsive decision-making

Confidence - An individual's level of belief concerning their capability to overcome obstacles, setbacks and deterrents

What is a leadership questionnaire?

A leadership questionnaire is an assessment designed to evaluate an individual's potential to lead and influence others effectively. It measures qualities such as strategic thinking, decision-making, interpersonal effectiveness, and the ability to inspire and guide teams. This helps organisations make informed decisions in recruitment, leadership development, and succession planning.

What kind of questions are in the leadership questionnaire?

Our leadership questionnaire is based on the TPAQ personality framework and measures key personality traits which underpin effective leadership. These questions follow a Likert response scale, in the same way that our other personality questionnaires function. By measuring the specific personality traits which underpin leadership, we can gauge a candidate’s leadership potential and make targeted recommendations for talent management.

Why test for leadership potential in the hiring process?

Realistically, not everyone is behaviourally suited to leadership and management. Some people are either unlikely to be successful, or will find leadership to be excessively draining – or both. Behavioural assessments can detect this early in the recruitment process, helping to either screen candidates out or provide recommendations for development.
